Volunteers-We will be looking for a variety of volunteers to help the program out. It will also setting up a schedule for parents to volunteer for the concessions stand. We will be asking each parent to donate a minimum of 4 hours of volunteering this season. To ensure this happens, parents are asked to write a check payable to the Kingston Cougars for $40. These checks will not be cashed! We will hold onto them until the end of the season. Once each family has completed their 4 hours of volunteering, the check will be returned to you. If you are unable to complete the required volunteer time, the check will be considered a donation and deposited into the Cougars account. These checks must be turned in before the 2nd week of practice or your child will be unable to practice. We will create a notebook where parents will sign in and out for volunteering. We will calculate hours monthly to ensure each family helps out. Please remember, this is YOUR program. We all need to work together to make it the best possible program for all of our kids. To give you an idea of volunteers we need:

To start we will need Team parents. This job will include setting up a schedule for parents to bring water, cups, ice, and fruit to practices and games, as well as assigning times for the concession stand. We need 2 MPRs for each game and 3 people to move chains at each home game. MPRs record the number of plays each child makes to ensure mandatory play rules. (Sounds harder than it is!) Cheer coaches- parents willing to help teach the girls cheers. You don’t need to be experienced, just willing to have fun with them! Football coaches- again, experience is not necessary, just a positive attitude and willingness to have fun!

Volunteers are needed for fundraising. We have a few parents in charge of specific fundraisers, but they will need assistance organizing and distributing the items. We need people to be responsible for handling the trash before, during, and after practice and games. We need people to plan our year end banquet, from booking a facility to getting donations for food. As you can see by just this list there is a lot involved in making this season run smoothly for the kids. THIS PROGRAM IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!!!!
